Answer
Our prayer posture must always be a posture of readiness
and consistency. Congregants have a responsibility to
work on righteousness for their individual lives so
that their prayer life is effective. The bible tells
us to pray for those that are in leadership positions,
to pray without ceasing and that the prayers of the
righteous avails much. We as people of God should never
take for granted that we all need each other’s prayers
and particularly those who are called by God to lead
others.
I
believe it is important that prayers are lifted for
protection from the enemy, strength for the demands
on pastors’ and their families’ lives that are sometimes
overwhelming, and clarity in hearing from God in all
areas of their lives. The enemy would love to catch
us off guard as a people so we should always pray.

QUESTION
HOW HAS GOD WORKED IN YOUR LIFE? WOULD YOU LIKE TO
SHARE YOUR TESTIMONY? |
 |

 |
 |
 |
| |
| |
Answer
God has helped me to grow as a Christian woman and continues
to do so. I have watched God and have been a partner with
God in doing some amazing things in me and in my life.
My faith has been tested as with any disciple of God but
the result is always more knowledge of Him and a greater
love for Him. God continues to blow my mind in all areas
of my life. |

Answer
I always chuckle whenever I am asked this question because
I am not married to my husband’s position I am married
to my husband. I am married to an amazing, wonderful
man, so I only know what it is like being married to
William Curtis not his position of being a pastor. With
all marriages there is work involved or even more specifically,
in any relationship there is work involved as you strive
to have that relationship be the best that it can be.
Yes,
there are some demands and sacrifices but I am sure
that millions of wives around the world are making many
sacrifices and have huge demands on their lives as well
and should be appreciated for that not just because
of who they are married to. I have never allowed myself
to be labeled ‘the pastor’s wife” there is so much more
to who I am and who God created me to be.

QUESTION
DO YOU HAVE MINISTRIES THAT YOU ARE INVOLVED WITH THAT
ARE DEAR TO YOUR HEART?
|
 |
 |
 |
 |
| |
Answer
I do have ministries that are dear to my heart, which
are my family, music and building women. First and foremost
I do consider attending to the needs of my family first
my ministry. God has called me first to make sure they
are taken care of before being on this committee or that
ministry. I do feel that I have been blessed with the
responsibility of caring for my daughter and husband before
anything else and their well being and happiness is just
that, a ministry for me. I know that when things are taken
care of on the home front then that allows my husband
to be free to do what he needs to do for the body of Christ.
The ministry of music is also dear to my heart. I grew
up in church with music being an important part of my
life and it continues to be. While presently I am not
involved with the music ministry at my church it is still
close to my heart and I am able to minister in music in
other arenas in my life.
I am also priveledged to work with women helping to build
them on the inside and am so blessed to be able to work
in a career as an Independent Executive Sr. Sales Director
with Mary Kay Cosmetics, whose mission also is to enrich
women’s lives. While the financial and material
rewards are awesome with this career, the intrinsic rewards
of helping women to realize their God given gifts and
talents far outweighs the material rewards.
