Listed below are The Church Online’s requirements
for article submissions. If you have any questions
or need further information not addressed below, please
write us at: submissions@thechurchonline.com
Submit in a Microsoft Word (.doc) file attached
to your email. Please also copy/paste the article
from Word in the text of your e-mail as backup.
Required
Word formatting:
- Block paragraph format, align left.
- No paragraph indents, centering, justification,
hyphenating, bulleting or bolding.
- Times New Roman 12 font
- Normal mode (vs web, heading or other mode)
- Single spacing between lines and sentences
- Double space between paragraphs
- Use Title Case (upper and lower case) in the title
- Please do not include hyperlinks in the body of
your article.
Subject line of e-mail should read: Article submission
(word count)- your name
Please
keep submissions to 500 words or less. Include word
count in your email.
Include author's full name and e-mail address. Pen
name may be used on submissions, but no user names
or e-mail names. All articles need to be titled,
and a brief bio must be included with your first
submission.
All
submissions must be the original work of the author.
Submissions
do not become the sole property of The Church Online,
unless otherwise contractually obligated. We ask
that if you send them to personal mailing lists,
you include the web address to our site.
Any
article accepted will be edited/proofed by our staff.
Please
do not include our staff members on your mailing
lists.
We do not provide compensation for articles published.
By sending your submission you grant permission
for your article to be used by The Church Online
and other publications without pay. Exception to
this would need to be discussed prior to your article
being published on The Church Online, or unless
otherwise contractually obligated.
Submissions
not meeting the criteria listed here will not be
considered unless other arrangements are made.
